Exein SpA, a cybersecurity company in Rome, raised €100 million in new funding. The investment, led by Blue Cloud Ventures with help from firms including J.P. Morgan, aims to grow the company’s presence outside Europe and accelerate acquisitions. Exein builds software that runs inside connected devices to detect and stop attacks in real time. The funding reflects strong investor interest in protecting the many internet-connected products in use today.
Takeaway: Large funding rounds for device-level security firms show that attacks on connected products are now a top concern for investors, manufacturers, and regulators, not just IT teams.

ISACA Gets New Global Role for CMMC Certification
ISACA will now train and certify professionals, assessors, and instructors under the U.S. Department of War’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program. This role makes ISACA the official global credentialing authority for CMMC, a framework designed to protect sensitive information across defense supply chains. The phased rollout of CMMC compliance started in November 2025 and continues through 2028.
